Terms of Use
Effective November 5, 2026
Using this site
These terms apply to horton-usa.com, which Horton International, LLC ("Horton," "we," "us") operates under the names Horton International North America, Horton Echelon and PeopleFirst AI. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
You may use the site for lawful purposes. You may not interfere with how it works, try to gain access to parts of it that are not public, collect information from it by automated means, or use it to harm anyone.
Our content
The text, graphics, logos, articles, tools and other content on the site belong to Horton or to the people who licensed them to us. You may read the content, share links to it, and print or save copies for your own use or for internal use at your company. Any other use needs our written permission.
Information, not advice
Our articles, the mis-hire cost calculator and the PeopleFirst AI diagnostic provide general information. The calculator gives directional estimates, and the diagnostic result and read-out are general suggestions based only on your answers. None of them is legal, financial, employment or other professional advice. Executive search, Horton Echelon and PeopleFirst AI engagements are governed by a separate written agreement.
The self-directed starter program
The price of the self-directed starter program is shown in US dollars on the program page, and buyers in Connecticut also pay Connecticut sales tax. We send the program materials by email after your payment goes through. The materials are for your own use, and you may not resell them or share them with others.
If you begin one-to-one work with us within 60 days of buying the program, we credit the full price you paid toward it. Because the program materials are sent to you as soon as your payment goes through, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds. If you are charged twice, or if the materials do not reach you, email info@horton-usa.com and we will send them again or refund the duplicate charge.
What you send us
When you submit a form, a resume, diagnostic answers or work for the program check-in, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it. You keep ownership of what you send, and you allow us to use it to provide the service you asked for, as our Privacy Policy describes. Please do not send us confidential information that belongs to your current or a former employer.
Other sites
The site links to services we do not control, including our scheduling calendar, our payment processor and the platforms that carry our podcast. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Disclaimers and limits on liability
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it as is and without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Horton is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability to you for any claim related to the site or the self-directed program is limited to the amount you paid us for the program, or $100 if you paid nothing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about them will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Hartford County, Connecticut.
