Your board expects an AI plan for HR. A vendor demonstration is not one.
Three things are now true. AI touches most HR and talent work, so a plan is no longer optional. Generic AI audits miss what is specific to your business model, so the advice must be built around your roles. And each quarter without a plan costs time, talent and leverage with your own vendors.
PeopleFirst AI turns this into an AI strategy for your HR and talent function: where your roles are exposed, where the capability gaps are and what to do over the next 12 months, tied to the outcomes you are accountable for. It is a consulting engagement, not software or staffing.
One framework, three entry points.
Consulting
HR and talent workflow redesign and AI enablement. We begin with a pilot that builds the data and the confidence, then scale what works across the function. You receive a plan your team can run, rather than a tool to decipher.
Executive
Leadership assessment and succession planning, informed by data. This is not search execution. When you need to fill a senior seat, that is Horton Search on Aperture 360. Here we help you see your bench clearly and plan for the transitions you know are coming.
Frontline
High-volume hiring, redesigned with AI. For teams hiring at scale, we design the sourcing, screening, and candidate-experience system and pick the tools, so your recruiters spend their time on offers, not screens. When you want us to run it, not just design it, that is Horton Echelon.
How we build the plan.
Exposure
We assess how exposed each of your roles is to AI. Every role lands in one of four types: Strategic, Transactional, Enabled, or Stable.
Gaps
For the roles that matter most, we measure the gap on three dimensions: knowledge (do people understand AI), skills (can they work with the tools), and confidence (are they ready to use them). We focus on the size of that gap, because that is what a plan can close.
Priorities
We rank the possible initiatives by impact and readiness, drawing on a library of 18 across talent acquisition, workforce planning, leadership, employee experience, and rewards.
Roadmap
You leave with a 12 to 24 month execution plan: what to do, in what order, who owns it, and what it should return.
What step 01 produces
